A years worth of travel!!

So I really always mean to blog after every trip we take.. the whole reason I started blogging in the first place.. but I get sidetracked and then I get behind... and then.. and then...

So I am back.. and my sweet boy.. when I asked "where we had been since my last blog post (Madrid)".. and his answer:

2016-11 - Weekend in BA

So thankful for our annual trips into Buenos Aires!! Even though we are only 30 minutes from the city we are SO REMOTE.. so staying in the city is a huge treat for me!! I am also thankful for my beautiful friend Jill for making these amazing cookies.. I truly miss Jill here in BA!!!  

Sometimes even though it seems like I am on vacation all of the time, the struggles of every day life here can sometimes wear me down..

2016-12 - Gramada, Brazil

To get a touch of Christmas Spirit we went up to Brazil.. this small town does Christmas in a big way!!!  

So writing this as she is 14 now makes me realize just how fast her 13th year went!!!  insane.. 

2016-12 - Iguazu Fall, Argentina/Brazil

turning 13 gets you a trip to Iguazu falls!!!  :)   

Because we had already seen the falls, this trip was really more about seeing the one section of the falls we didn't see (Devils throat.. where I guess I took no photos) and going to this insanely amazing bird park located in Brazil across the boarder.. according to Nola it was all that.. 

2016-12 - Stacey in Miami Shopping  I am going to say there are no photos.. well maybe except for my Dunkin Donuts coffee.. :)  always a must.. 36 hours of shopping... I needed a coffee

2017-01 - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

after a long semester of running the girls around this beach trip as the most amazing thing.. just what I needed!!

2017-02 - Bariloche, Argentina

possibly the most amazing places on earth.. with one of the most amazing kids on earth!

2017-02 - Gualyguachu, Argentina Carnivale

year 3 did not disappoint!!

there is nothing like a good carnival parade.. sorta sad this year we are not attending.. it is so much energy and love!!

2017-03 - Scott in NJ (canceled our trip to Punta Del Este) - no photos  but at least we got some goodies from home in his suitcases

2017-04 - Belo Horizonte, Brazil (Inhotim/Ouro Preto)

my heart really is so happy in Brazil.. 

Inhotim is an amazing collection of artworks set on over 140 acres of land.. to say it is amazing is an understatement.. Cora and I have been secretly plotting a way to return to see the collections we didn't get to see.. 

in the town of Ouro Preto they take Easter VERY seriously.. they start the night before and line the streets with colorful pictures using colored wood chips.. this goes for MILES.. and then Jesus and his followers walk from a designated starting point to the most amazingly beautiful church in the center of town along the decorated streets..

2017-04 - Stacey in Santiago

so many grapes to make such good wine!!!  Was so lovely to spend time with friends and recharge the batteries surrounded by good shopping, good food, good friends and amazing views..

Right at the moment the earthquake hit.. LOL.. very small earthquake!!  

2017-04 - Scott & Kids at Estancia (El Ombu).. San Antonio De Areco, Argentina

not even the millions of mosquitos could keep my kids off the horses!

2017-06 - Stacey and  Kids in Miami/Bastrop, TX

The one and only picture of the Miami beach I got.. the rest of the time we spent at the mall!!!  girls love to shop!!

There is nothing like Texas family!!!  nothing!!!  first breakfast in Texas.. tacos with friends.. heaven!!

 There is nothing quite like family and I am so thankful and grateful for my Texas Fam!!

2017-07 - Manaus, Amazon, Brazil

So this trip was what my family hoped would be full of 'bucket list items checked off".. first came the small plane that takes off and lands on the WATER... OMG.. on the WATER!!!

Second was a plane ride over the mouth of the Amazon River, where it merges with the Rio Negro.. black and white.. amazing views..   we were super lucky to do this twice.. once on purpose.. second because we were lucky!!

and third... wild Tapir's.. cause it is Scott's favorite animal.. yup.. we spent quite a while petting and giving love to the Tapirs.. LOL.. and then we went on our 2 hour jungle hike where I was lucky to see about 100 bullet ants and a spider the size of a newborn baby.. 

for me.. this was the best.. watching my girls paddle board in the  Rio Negro...

2017-07 - Doris & Eddie Visit

Nothing as fun as our nightly card games.. sure wish they could have lasted longer than 2 weeks!!  

An outing to the museum.. :)

While trips are all about photos I found myself during my moms visit taking very few photos.. I really was more into being in the moment.. she and Eddie aren't coming back and I wanted to enjoy every second of them.. 

2017-08 - Bus trip to Cordoba, Argentina

my favorite.. LOL.. if only

10 hours each way on a bus.. which was super comfy!!!

2017-09 - Puerto Madryn, Argentina

and they did not disappoint!!!

but I must say from Oct. 2016-Oct 2017.. we did some pretty cool things.. along with our every day life.. :)
